The ministry is the government arm tasked with empowerment of the youth and indigenous citizens.
Vision:
To achieve total empowerment of Zimbabwean Youths and Indigenous citizens.
Mission:
To develop, promote and implement policies and programs for the empowerment of youths and indigenous citizens in order to achieve sustainable and equitable development.
Our Mandate:
The overall mandate of the Ministry is to:
- Formulate, execute and review policy on the development and empowerment of youth and indigenous citizens;
- Formulate execute, and review policy on the economic empowerment of indigenous citizens.
- Implement empowerment and development initiatives for youth and indigenous citizens in liaison with sector ministries as well as the private sector;
- Promote public awareness on development and empowerment opportunities available to youths and indigenization citizens; and
- Monitor and evaluate compliance with the National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Act and the Zimbabwe Youth Council Act.
