The Nkupe is a freshwater fish found in the middle and lower Zambezi (including Lake Kariba) in Zimbabwe

General Background:
The Nkupe inhabits swift flowing water, rapids or quite, deep, sandy or rocky pools. It is found mostly in the mainstream or larger rivers, prefers riverine habitats.
