Biogas is a combustible gas produced from the decomposition of any organic material such as cow dung ,human waste,kitchen or agricultural waste by bacteria in the absence of air(anaerobic conditions similar to conditions inside the stomach of a ruminant animal:cow). It is a fuel gas produced form the anaerobic breakdown /fermentation/decomposition of any organic materials by bacteria. Biogas :Possibilities One cubic meter (1m3) of biogas can: -Cook 3 meals for 4 people -Provide 7hrs of lighting -Run 300litre refrigerator for 3hrs -Generate 1.25KW of electricity -Run a 2hp engine for 1hr.
