Zimbabwe make the ‘2018 ICC Women’s World T20 Africa Qualifier’ final

Zimbabwe beat Uganda by 59 runs to book a place in the final of the 2018 ICC Women’s World T20, Africa Qualifier. Uganda will face bitter rivals Kenya in a playoff on Friday, to decide who meets Zimbawe on the 16th of September.
Zimbabwe, who are the tournament favourites, powered past Uganda, blasting 162/2 in their alloted 20 overs.
Zimbabwe Team Captain Chipo Mugeri led by example hitting 56 runs off 37 balls while Mupachikwa hit 7 boundaries in her 47 run score.
The Ugandan bowling line up failed to make any inroads on the Zimbabwe batting line-up, picking up only 2 wickets.

In reply, they scored 102/6 and they failed to overhaul the total as they poorly paced their innings. The pick of the bowlers for Zimbawe were Tshuma and Mbofana, with figures of 2 for 20, and 1 for 8, respectively.
Gertude Chandiru’s score of 26, and opener Saidat Kemigisha’s 20 were the only meaningful contributers to the Uganda scorecard.
Kenya sneaked into the playoffs after seeing off hosts Namibia in a tense game in the morning setting up a derby with Uganda.
