ZRP braces for 2018 polls
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has underscored its preparedness for the 2018 harmonised elections, calling upon all political parties and their supporters to campaign peacefully.
Officiating at the ZRP Support Unit Client Service Charter re-launch in Plumtree at Dingimuzi township, Officer Commanding Support Unit, Senior Assistant Commissioner, Dr Angeline Guvamombe said police will guard jealously the prevailing peaceful environment through maintenance of law and order.
She called upon Zimbabweans to co-exist with the police in fighting all forms of crime within the society.
She said Support Unit has intensified border patrols along the porous ports of entry to curb smuggling of goods which has negatively affected the economy.
The Client Service Charter re-launch culminated with a clean-up campaign, cementing the mutual co-operation required between the force and the public in fighting all forms of crime.
