In Zimbabwe, pressure continues to mount on Robert Mugabe to resign as president. Impeachment proceedings against Mugabe are expected to start today. The governing ZANU-PF party says all 230 of its MP’s will support an impeachment motion, meaning they only need the support of five opposition members for the required two-thirds majority. Zimbabwean politician and media personality Acie Lumumba says absolute power corrupts. He says corruption is common among African leaders and it almost always goes unpunished.
