UN reacts to Mugabe’s resignation

The United Nations Secretary-General has noted the resignation of Zimbabwe’s longtime President adding that a cornerstone of any government is to listen to the voices of their people. The United States meanwhile has called President Robert Mugabe’s resignation a historic moment while urging free, fair and inclusive elections and an unwavering respect for the rule of law.
