General Background:
Bushbabies or Galagos are small, tree-dwelling nocturnal primates. There are about 17 species found in Africa. These primates are capable of leaps of remarkable distance between trees. At times they may venture on the ground, when they walk either on their hind legs or on all fours. They have large eyes that give them good night vision, strong hind limbs, acute hearing, and long tails that help them balance.
Their ears are bat-like and allow them to track insects in the dark. At times they catch insects on the ground or snatch them out of the air. They are fast, agile creatures. As they bound through the thick bushes, they fold their delicate ears back to protect them
Places in Zimbabwe:
Because of their dependence on trees, they are restricted to savanna woodland.
