In the world there are 138 species and 18 are found in Zimbabwe. The species found in the country are the Levaillant’s cuckoo, Thick-billed cuckoo, Red-chested, Black-cuckoo, Common cuckoo, African cuckoo, Lesser cuckoo, Barred long-tailed cuckoo,, African emerald cuckoo, Dideric cuckoo, Great spotted cuckoo, Yellowbill, Black coucal, Pied cuckoo,Coppery-tailed coucal, Senegal coucal, Klaas’s cuckoo, White-browed coucal.
