Glendale is situated in Mashonaland Central Province, 60km from Harare along the main Harare-Mazowe- Bindura road on the banks of the Mazowe river.
Background:
The known inhabitants of the area were the Shona people who lived under the chieftancy of Chief Chiweshe. Following the colonisation of Zimbabwe the Glendale area became a crucial farmng area due to the higly fertile soils.
