Maurice Tapfumaneyi Nyagumbo was a Zimbabwean politician and national hero.
Nyagumbo was born in Rusape, Manicaland Province on 12 December 1924.

- African National Congress Secretary, Rusape Branch (1957-59)
- Restricted to Gokwe District (1959-62)
- Appointed Organising Secretary ZANU (1963)
- Detained at various detention centers (1964-1979)
- Elected ZANU MP for Manicaland (1980)
- Minister of Mines (1980)
- Minister of Political Affairs
- Senior Minister of State for Political Affairs
He died on the 28th of April 1989, he was declared a national hero and is buried at the National Hero’s Acre in Harare.
