Vic Falls carnival kicks off

Africa’s biggest and most exciting new year festival the Iflix Victoria Falls carnival has kicked off in the resort town with thousands of carnival enthusiasts descending on the border town for three days of non-stop entertainment as the countdown to 2018 begins.
The three-day extravaganza has kicked-off with the popular African carnival train and bush party signalling the official start of this year’s edition of the Victoria Falls carnival.
For the next three days the party-goers will enjoy non-stop entertainment with some of Africa’s finest performers who include multi-award winner Black Coffee expected to thrill the crowd.
The border town famed for its adrenalin rush activities will be hosting plus 5000 carnival-goers who have come from as far as Europe, Asia and neighbouring countries.
This year’s edition promises to be bigger and better according to the organisers with plans already underway to make the festival a five-day event starting next year.
More than 1 000 carnival enthusiasts booked for the African train carnival which has over the years grown to be the highlight of the festival.
The first train which was filled to capacity departed around mid-afternoon for the secret bush location some kilometres from the Victoria Falls town for a night under the African sky.
