Mayor of Harare 2013 – 2018
His Worship Cllr Benard Manyenyeni is the current Mayor of Harare and his term runs until 2018. Mr. B. G. Manyenyeni is a Career Business Relationship Executive having been involved in financial services business for over 25 years. He has handled portfolios of some of Zimbabwe’s top corporates. He worked in various executive capacities in the financial services sector. He is an effective leadership team player and interacts very well across most ‘barriers’ within and outside the work context. He is currently General Manager and Principal Officer of Altfin Life Assurance Company.
Mr. B. Manyenyeni is a well-blended, multi-branded community individual, relating with a diverse mix of Zimbabweans of all backgrounds – a bankable attribute for an assignment to Town House.
Academic Qualifications:
After initially studying Corporate Business Management, he converted his study credits to enrol for a M.Sc. degree in Strategic Management completed in July 2003 with the University of Derby. He did a dissertation on “The Role of Managed Funds in Venture Capital Raising.”

Past President of the Rotaract Club of Harare Central – the junior wing of Rotary Club. Received the club’s first Lifetime Service Award and was the guest of honour at the 40th Anniversary of Rotaract in March 2008.
Serves on the committee of the country’s biggest sports club Harare Sports Club where he has been Vice-Chairman for many years.
A member of Royal Harare Golf Club, REPS Theatre and Trader Horn Boating Club.
He was until recently the Vice Chairman of the Life Offices Association of Zimbabwe, the grouping of all life assurance companies in the country.
