Description:
Portuguese trading post ruin that was built and established in the sixteen century.
History:
This was an important Portuguese trading post and market mainly during the 17th century and also the largest Portuguese settlement during the same period of Monomutapa rule. The post was later destroyed by Changamire .
Excavations:
Not much remains of the market, just foundations and ditches. Excavations revealed human remains of the varied inhabitants Africans, Europeans and Mixed race and their various possessions .
