David Livingstone Statue

The bronze statue, mounted on a concrete (stone look a like) base is found at the left end of the Falls near the Devil’s Cataract viewpoint.
David Livingstone was the first European to see the Mosi-oa-Tunya waterfall, of which he wrote later, “Scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight.” He renamed them the Victoria Falls after his monarch, Queen Victoria of Great Britain.
The statue at Victoria Falls is of Livingstone gazing sternly out towards The Devil’s Cataract.
