Matsheumhlope is a low density suburb located in Bulawayo, the second capital city of Zimbabwe The name comes from the association with river (“White Stones”). White stones in Ndebele or Zulu language are amatshe amhlope.
The most famous resident of the surburb is the late liberation fighter Joshua Nkomo. His house has now been converted into a museum that hosts all visitors from all walks of life including groups of school children.
