Cape to Cairo
As you walk into the classically-designed bar, Cape to Cairo breathes an air of relaxation and rich culture. You cannot fail to recognise the Jazz origins of the bar with the large images of African Jazz legends and its dingy but classy nature.
Cape to Cairo is the perfect combination of modern and tradition. While the jazz bar is expertly designed with up-to-date furnishing – its location has deep traditional roots as well. It is located in an important historical site that was once a meeting place [dale] for discussing clan issues in the Ndebele Kingdom- right next to Mzilikazi’s palace which is the present day City Hall.
For over a decades the restaurant/pub has provided customers from both local areas and abroad with a calm and safe environment to relax and indulge in good food and drink. They also serve their clients with (as cliché as it sounds) – food for the soul in the form of Art and live music.
Their excellent customer service has made them a house hold name in the city of Bulawayo. It has also earned them a loyal clientele and fast growth over the years. This has led to the opening of three branches around the country, namely Chez Zandi, Londoners and Sports Bar in Harare. They expect even further growth in the near future.
Despite the success of their establishment, Cape to Cairo has never stopped improving themselves for the benefit of their loyal clientele. They recently renovated and created a beautiful artist Garden so that live music can also be enjoyed in the fresh air of their well-manicured gardens.
