Tennis Player and Davis Cup Manager
Adrian Bey was born on May 16, 1938 in Salisbury, Rhodesia (now Harare, Zimbabwe). He attended Prince Edward School in Rhodesia.
Adrian began playing tennis on the family court at age 6 and at age 16 started playing tournaments in South Africa. His greatest tennis accomplishments were reaching the round of 16 at Wimbledon twice and reaching the semi-finals of the French Open in doubles. He managed the Davis Cup team for Rhodesia and later moved to Texas in 1975 where he became a tennis professional at an Austin country club.
He was also a tour pro at Westside Tennis Club in Houston from 1975-1982, when he moved to Montgomery County where he was the head pro at April Sound and Bentwater Country Club
