Henry Olonga
Henry Olonga is a former Zimbabwean professional cricketer.
Olonga was the first black Zimbabwean male to play at national level for the Zimbabwe National Cricket team.
He was born on the 3rd of July 1976 in Lusaka, Zambia.

Career:
Henry played domestic first class cricket for Mashonaland and Manicaland.
At international level Henry Olonga broke new ground when he became the first black player and youngest player in the Zimbabwe National Cricket team.
He debuted on 31st of January 1995 in a Test match against Pakistan at Harare Sports Club and became the youngest player to play in the Zimbabwe National team at 18 years of age.
Olonga’s game styles were that of a right arm fast bowler and right handed batting.
Henry playing statistics for his international career:
- 30 Test matches for Zimbabwe, taking 68 wickets with a bowling average of 38.52
- 50 One-Day Internationals, taking 58 wickets at an average of 34.08.
- He holds the record for the best bowling in a one-day international by a Zimbabwean, with figures of 6/19 against England at Cape Town in 2000
Henry’s international career came to an end in 2003, he is now pursuing a career as a cricket commentator and musician. He lives in England and is married to Tara a native of Australia.
