Colin Bland debuted onto the international stage at the age of 18 years in 1956. He is regarded as the greatest fielder of his time and by others the greatest fielder in the history of the game. He was also a world class middle-order attacking batsman, finished his test career with a batting average of 49.08.
He was also an international hockey player.
