Dorothy Duncan was born in England on 31 July 1893. She arrived in Rhodesia in 1939.
She was appointed Honorary Secretary of section of the Loyal women’s Guild in Salisbury dealing with the blind and physically handicapped. The first Dorothy Duncan home for the blind was opened in 1963.
From 1952 until 1972 she was the chairwoman ,of the Salisbury Branch of the Rhodesia society for the Physically Handicapped.
