Roman Catholic Jesuit Priest and Founder of St Georges College in Harare.
Mark Barthelemy was born on 16 January 1857 in France. He joined the Society of Jesus in 1874 and came to South Africa in 1886. He arrived in Fort Victoria in 1892 and was later asked to begin a school in Bulawayo.The name St Georges was adopted for the school, which opened in January 1896
St Georges was non denominational and was later moved to Salisbury in 1926.
He died 7 November 1913
