Prayer Soul – Zimbabwe’s very own International Neo-soul Sensation
Prayer Soul can easily be identified as the quintessence of neo-soul music in Zimbabwe. Boasting smooth and sultry vocals, he is also a talented guitarist, singer and songwriter.
CAREER
The young man broke into the music scene in 2010 and has quickly risen through the ranks and caught the attention on big names in the game. In 2014 he held some well-publicised auditions to put together his very own band and called it The Experience band. The resulting band is both skilled and passionate in transferring music notes into magical tunes we have come to all know and love.
He has graced the H.I.F.A stage and toured Germany (twice), Italy and Austria, Malawi and South Africa. It is apparent that the world is his stage. He also performed at Bona’s wedding, and he talks about how the audience really enjoyed the music which blew him away. Setting a benchmark in this, otherwise unknown genre of music, his prowess has created an impressive following.
The young artist uses his music as a tool to entertain and touch the soul. Presently, Prayer Soul two albums titled ‘Prayer soul ‘and ‘Again’ and two singles that caused waves across the country. Tracks from his album ‘Again,’ never fail to uplift the spirit and though soulful crowd-pleasers like the title track ‘Again’ and Wandipengesa are no doubt some of his best work.
Inspiration
His first album was inspired a lot by love and life. In 2015, he began writing stuff that was more progressive and inspirational. He wanted to inspire people to dream for better relationships, dream for better relationships, dream for better jobs an dream to achieve their inner desires.
His reputation as fashionista
Prayer has a unmissable swaggy dress sense which he claims in genetic. His father is popular for always looking sharp and so it just came naturally. He also has cool fashionista friends who help with the way he dresses as different types of events.
This world-class artiste is by no means slowing down. He reports that he has more for his beloved fans.
