Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa
Ruvheneko is a Zimbabwean talk show host, MC and former radio presenter at one of the biggest radio stations in Zimbabwe ZIFM. She is also the daughter of the Minister of Health, Dr. David Parirenyatwa and the granddaughter of the first Black Medical Doctor in Zimbabwe and National Hero Dr. Samuel Parirenyatwa.
Early life
Ruvheneko was born on 15 September 1988 to David and Choice Parirenyatwa. She is the sixth child in the family of seven. She studied for a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Media, Writing and Political Science and a Post-graduate Diploma in Marketing from the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
Career
Ruvheneko started her career on radio in her second year at University where she joined the campus radio station –UCT Radio- as the current affairs talk show host. She then went on to join radio stations in Zimbabwe where she hosted five shows. She was known for having a penchant of emasculating her guests n radio however big their office was. Her victims included Dr. Lazarus Dokora, the Education Minister and Edmund Kudzayi, the suspended editor of The Sunday Mail. She got some negative publicity during this time and was even nicknamed the Iron Lady, for example, Newsday reported that she was just scathing on her programme, The Platform.
The vivacious presenter told News Day this week she gets nasty whenever she feels undermined by the person she is interviewing.
“I am like that when I need to be,” she said. Apparently, she resigned from ZIFM Stereo in November 2016 after she complained of the frustration of the work environment.
Talk Show
After radio, Ruvheneko went on to reinvent herself and launched her talk show in February of 2017 which focuses on current affairs and zeros in on trending issues with interviews and chats with specific people. She has maintained her interrogative style of interviewing.

Entrepreneur
The young lady is also an entrepreneur who runs a shop at Harare International Airport.
Personal Life
Ruvheneko got engaged and married Basil Tendai Mafara in 2013.
Other achievements
In 2014, Ruvheneko was placed at number 23 on the 100 most influential Young Zimbabweans under 40. She was also appointed as the Deputy Chairperson of the Harare Youth Council. At some point, she was the most sort after MC for functions and events. She has also hosted the 2014 Miss Zimbabwe Pageant.
She was nominated to participate in the Africa Leadership Project which was launched in 2014.
