Welsh the Stylist

From a very tender age, Welsh always had a taste for flair and the arts, it was clear his future would be in the creative sector. As a fashion stylist and icon, he has a strict liking for vintage inspired looks.

In 2015, he went on to be awarded Zimbabwe’s best-dressed male at the Zim Fashion Week for his unique style. He currently stands as the reigning Matabeleland Fashion Week’s style icon. It was back in high school that he discovered his love for music, during a trip to Harare for a competition with his high school acapella singing group. While fashion has always been his primary art, he recently fulfilled a childhood dream of becoming a musician with the release of his first single, titled Ngiyakukhumbula. The track premiered on Skyz Metro and went on to climb up the Skyz Metro Top 20 charts all the way up to number one, spending 2 weeks at the summit.

Welsh The Stylist draws his inspiration as a fashionista from leading South African designer and icon, David Tlale. While his music is inspired by singing sensation, Donald, also from South Africa. 2017 promises to be another fruitful year for Welsh, with a music video currently in the pipeline for his hit single, Ngiyakukhumbula. His management team is also working on developing his very own clothing line, to be launched with a limited-edition jacket and blazer collection.
